Woke up on Saturday around noon , remember I went to bed after 6 am ;) went to take a shower and could not find towel so i jumped in anyway as i needed some assistance with straightening out before i went back out in public :P basically took a ghetto shower and dried myself off with toilet paper LOL !
Big problem was that we ordered tickets to go see the big derby match between Berlin Union and Energie Cottbus .... We had to pick tickets up on other side if city and the only way possible was by taxi , so we jumped in and started driving . Both of us had serious hang overs so we did what is natural and had the taxi stop us at a shop on the way so we could buy some beers ... Hair of the dog :)if u can't beat em join em so back to getting drunk it is!
We get out tickets and whisk off to this stadium which Rome seemed as though it was in the middle of a forest . Taxi drops us off and we have to go through bushes , good thing there were gypsies selling beer have to keep this hang over at bay lol ! We finally get to stadium and the atmosphere is absolutely WILD !!! This is a second division game stands are jam packed and I was loving it ! We met a couple Americans and traded beers the whole game , lucky for them they had to leave as soon as game ended because that is when it got ultra messy !!!
Key word was ultra ! We met some guys from the fan club and they took a liking to us , 1 of them even gave me his scarf to annoint me a Union fan , I was really really happy ! These guys were amazing . We drank with them for quite some time outside the pitch and security asked us to leave ... We were taken to the supporters pub owned by the club it was called Abseitsfalle. I felt like a celebrity there as the supporters all boughtme beers and constantly introduced me toe eryone that walked into the pub , u can only imagine how ridiculous drunk I got while Rainer constantly let the supporters know that he is from Aalen ( they play in same division and are currently top of table ) they didn't mind and it was so much fun !!!
When it came time to leave we stepped outside and the fresh air knocked Rainer out .... so here i am in a forest in Berlin lost and i have to carry Rainer back to our hostel . We start walking if you want to call it that , and i was really struggling as i was drunk too . Remember that scarf i was given earlier ? well that scarf saved us big time !!! A random guy walking around saw me with the scarf on and approached me and grabbed Rainer by his other arm to help me get to a taxi ... he said you are a friend with the Union then you are a friend of mine and i must help you ! how awesome is that ? if i didn't have that scarf i have no clue how i would have gotten back home ! Not sure what was worse the dickheads at the bar or the food .....
We hit the bed around 11 PM , yeah really early ! The couple in our room were already sleeping so we had to be quiet LOL .... will post more about yesterdays events later ... time to go be a tourist :)
